Looking Forward 26 Jan 2015

Every Monday, I draw three cards to focus on for the week coming up.

Due to other people wanting to celebrate my birth (what’s with that), and my body not wanting to wake up before 6:30 (I can understand, that’s still earlier than I like), I didn’t get to writing this until late (and it’s still not going to be as developed as I’d like). Enough with the parentheticals, how about our cards for the week!

Ace of Imps

A powerful rush of energy and enthusiasm

XIII Death

Changes: the end of the old and the birth of the new

II The High Priestess

Wisdom, secrets to be revealed, and the development of intuition

Following the path of the big energies underway (does it have something to do with my birthday? seems like a good time for beginnings and big things happening, doesn’t it?), we have two more Major Arcana cards, and both reminding me so much about what the Luminous Emporium is about. Becky and I want people to think about the lives they’re living and whether or not it’s the life they want to live. Are society’s values guiding you or are your own? Are you taking care of yourself? Do you like how you treat others? If you, like me, feel like a drone trying to fit into the mold of the “ideal” life trajectory, then it’s time for a Death: death to those ideals that interfere with our lives.

And with that death, comes power and purpose: our Witchyness comes forth. I, particularly, want to travel the path of the Wise Woman / High Priestess, the woman of mystery and wisdom, a woman who trusts her intuition. At the end of last week, I certainly saw myself with the rush of energy and enthusiasm that the Ace of Wands signifies, especially concerning Luminous Emporium and my psychic and mystic development. These things could tie themselves together and become a big part of my future, and I look forward to it.

What’s big, scary, and changing for you? Are you ready for another wild ride and strange feelings?

  1. My whole world has been in a state of flux for the past few months as I have been adjusting to some big losses and found myself readjusting my future goals and plans, so this post resonated with me quiet a bit. And from a witchy, wheel-of-the-year sort of perspective the end of January beginning of February is a good time for change and reawakening of spirit. Imbolc/Brigid’s Day/Candlemas represents the shift towards spring where the dormant energies of the earth and spirit start to stir and reawaken and reach for the surface.

I wanted to also I am only just now getting to reading the posts, but am enjoying what I’ve read so far.
